• Brief Overview:

— All font licenses are for use on up to as many workstations as you have chosen with 5 being the minimum default. By purchasing fonts you agree to the full terms and conditions of the agreement (EULA) below.

— If you require a custom license for more workstations, please contact me. Discounts will be given to customers purchasing additional licenses.

— Specific custom licenses will be needed for software and other applications where the font will be embedded in interfaces such as mobile phone operating systems, ATMs, firmware or similar.

— In the case of eBooks and Mobile Apps, a minimum charge of £250 applies in addition to standard license fee. Please see section 4 for more information.

— Webfonts are available through partners such as YouWorkForThem and MyFonts.

— All fonts are sold on a 'sold as seen' basis, and as such it is up to you to read all supporting documentation and to understand exactly what the product includes. For this reason all modifications are carried out for an added fee except those that are genuine faults or errors as stipulated in the conditions of the EULA.

HouseOfBurvo Standard Font License

1 ­— This is a contractual agreement.
Subject of the contract are the software (TrueType-, PostScript Type1- and OpenType-software) and the Typefaces (‘fonts’), which shall be made available by HouseOfBurvo.co.uk.

The contract between YOU and HouseOfBurvo shall take effect as follows: Read the contract completely before you order a typeface. Should you conclude this contract on the behalf of your employers, then your employers, as you are, shall be subject to the conditions cited in this contract. In the event you should terminate your contractual relationship with your employers, you shall no longer be entitled to work with the Typefaces in accordance with the conditions of this contract whereas your employers shall still be entitled to these rights.

2 — Grant of License
By paying the full sale price HouseOfBurvo grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license (the “License”) to operate its font software (the “Typefaces”) on a minimum of 5 computer workstations as owned by your organisation or the organisation you represent. Please buy the appropriate license option for your company.
You agree not to duplicate, reproduce, sell, transfer, license, or otherwise distribute the Typefaces in any form, except as provided herein. You agree not to decompile, modify, reformat, translate, reverse-engineer or otherwise discover the source code of the Typefaces. You agree not to make, or authorize or commission others to make, any additions, deletions or modifications to the Typefaces without the prior written consent of HouseOfBurvo. You agree not to alter HouseOfBurvo's copyright notices as contained in the Typefaces.

3 — Copyright.
HouseOfBurvo retains full title and ownership of these Typefaces both as artwork and software, including all subsequent copies of the artwork or software regardless of the format in which they are expressed or the media on which they are recorded. Any updates, revisions, enhancements or additions to the Typefaces supplied by HouseOfBurvo under this Agreement shall become part of, and subject to, this Agreement. The parties agree that HouseOfBurvo shall own the copyright in all such modifications and derivative works of the Typefaces made by either party. The names of these typefaces are trademarks of HouseOfBurvo, and as such may only be used in keeping with accepted trademark practice, including identification of the trademark owner’s name and only in conjunction with output produced using this font software. You acknowledge that you are not purchasing title to the Typefaces, but are rather being granted a license to use the Typefaces for the purposes set forth above. Except as provided herein, this Agreement does not grant you any intellectual property rights in the Typefaces.

4 — Use Restrictions
The typefaces and the software shall not be copied at more computer systems than 5 as stated in this contract; to purchase a license that includes useage on more than 5 workstations, you must contact HouseOfBurvo. The typefaces and the software shall not be used together with or copied for any third parties. The typefaces and the software shall not be sublicensed or resold, rented or made available in any other manner to any third party. This applies in particular also to parts of typefaces, copies of parts or modifications of the typefaces. This license does not allow the use of a typeface in a manner where the typeface becomes the primary aspect of a product for resale. Modifying the typefaces is prohibited, even in the event that it is necessary for fulfilling personal design requirements.

Embedding of the typefaces and the software into electronic documents like PDF is permitted in a secured ‘Preview & Print’ mode. Licensee must ensure that recipients of electronic documents cannot extract the typefaces and the software from such documents or use the embedded typefaces and the software for the creation of new documents.

In the case of Mobile Apps or eBooks the following license extension is applied:

Pricing Structure
This license extention allows customers to embed ONE (1) OpenType/TrueType font in ONE (1) Mobile Application for a one-time fee of 10x the font price, or £250, whichever is greater. For example, a £20 font with one Mobile Application/eBook license would cost £270, while a £100 font with one Mobile Application/eBook License would cost £1100.

If your Mobile Application scenario falls outside this list, it is NOT supported by this license.

eBook Formats: Kindle AZW, PDF, EPUB, Broadband eBooks, Mobipocket
If your eBook scenario falls outside this list, it is NOT supported by this license.

The extended license price will apply for each OS or eBook format needed.
For instance if your mobile application is to be used on three (3) operating systems,
you will be charged three (3) times.

In addition to all previous stipulations, the typefaces may not be modified, adapted, translated, de compiled, disassembled, re digitized, rented, sold, given away, leased, sub-licensed or loaned in any form. Additionally, you agree to take all steps necessary to prevent any third person from duplicating or distributing any typefaces and the software.

5 — Warranty
HouseOfBurvo warrants the typefaces and the software are free from defects in material and workmanship for 90 days as of the date of purchase. Although no guarantees are made that this software will perform in any specific way other than those outlined in available specemins or in related documentation; and no warranties are made contrary to this. During this 90-day period, in the event of defect, HouseOfBurvo will replace any defective products which are returned. Your exclusive remedy for the breach of these warranties is the replacement of the product or the refund of the purchase price. HouseOfBurvo makes no other warranty, express or implied, including, without limitation, any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. HouseOfBurvo shall not be liable to you for any general, special, direct or indirect damage.

6 — Liability.
In no event will HouseOfBurvo be held liable for any consequential or incidental damages, including any lost profits or lost savings, or for any claim by any party, even if HouseOfBurvo has been apprised of the possibility of such damages.

7 — Breach and Termination
This license agreement will terminate automatically without notice from HouseOfBurvo if you breach any of its provisions. With termination, you must immediately stop using the typefaces and the software and delete all copies of the Typefaces and the software from all medias.

All rights to the typefaces, including their names and the software are owned by HouseOfBurvo are protected by the copyright laws of the EU and other international provisions. If any part of this contract is found void and enforceable, it will not affect the validity of the balance of the contract, which shall remain valid and enforceable according to its terms. The parties consent and agree to the jurisdiction of the EU courts of law.
